What are they? Little black dots/hairs on a cut or healing pimple?

this might sound weird but lately I've noticed that whenever I get a cut or a pimple on my body (shoulder, chest, etc..) I get these tiny little black dots, but they turn out to be little black hairs. I always pull them out, b/c they look ugly but what in the heck is causing this??What are they? its probably something along the lines of an ingrown hair...


when you get a cut or pimple, sometimes a little hair gets caught in there and it gets infected.





either that, or it's heartworms.

Sounds like ingrowing hairs. Remove them with tweezers and put antiseptic on them. They aren't dangerous unless they get infected. Embarrassed as I am as a very delicate female, I got one on my bum (?) and had to have it surgically removed as it got infected. Can be the tiniest hair or the thickest one. Just get them out asap! Most common on bikini line or, if you're a black male, on the face for some reason.
I have the same thing and I agree with the person above me. It is tiny ingrown hairs that get caught when the new skin grows over the cut or pimple.
