They sound like shingles. I had them when I was nine. They tend to wrap around the trunk(chest) or may be on his butt. Ask him if it hurts when he moves his arm. Go to a dermatologist and they should give you some steroids for him to take. The blisters should clear up in a couple of weeks with medication.





BTW do not listen to the spammers who answered your question, it does not sound like acne to me. It probably looks sort of like acne, but it should look very distinct. And Acne does not appear under the armpits; it appears on the face, chest, and back. When I had shingles, it started under my armpit. Don't be scared if it grows, it's normal. But be sure to go to the dermatologist.
