How come whenever i get a pimple it's not red it blends in with my skin?

and when i use ANY face wash the next morning all the pimples on my face are now red!that's good i guess i'd rather have pimples that blend in than be red but,i'm just curious on why that happens?How come whenever i get a pimple it's not red it blends in with my skin?
