What are the pros and cons of popping a pimple?

Pros: If you do it correctly and it's ready to be popped, it will feel better and go away quickly. If you'd like to take the chance, take a long, hot shower and exfoliate (scrub) your face to open your pores, clean your skin, and remove dead skin cells that may be blocking the pores. GENTLY try to squeeze it by pressing down on either side of it with clean fingers, and scoop upward while wiggling your fingers back and forth. If it doesn't come out easily, leave it alone!

Cons: If not done correctly, you can cause infection under the skin which can lead to a bigger, uglier pimple, and more pimples. Also, you run the risk of scarring. If that's you in the photo, people with darker skin tend to scar worse because of more melanin in their skin.

My advice is to leave it alone, but I know that's hard to do! Good luck!What are the pros and cons of popping a pimple?
It seems like the pros and cons have already been outlined by other posters, but I have some advice from personal experience if you do decide to pop your pimple:

1) Rather than using your fingernails, which can result in infection or scarring, use two Q-tips to pop the pimple. Place the Q-tips on either side of the pimple and press down, not inward. Pressing down will cause the pimple to pop at its weakest point and insure that the clogged pore also comes out.

2) Be sure to dab peroxide on the spot after popping the pimple. This kills infection-causing bacteria and dries up the ';ooze.';

Hope this helps!What are the pros and cons of popping a pimple?
pros; none

cons; it will leave a mark, it will be very red, it will make things worse, and it might sting a bit and hurt .

But sometimes it depends if the pimple is ready to pop, if it is just red, it is not ready, if there is puss coming out of it , it is ready but do it gentle .
pros:none

cons: it will actually make your acne worse because when you pop a pimple, your actually just spreading bacteria around your face.
pros: none

cons: leaves a mark, looks ugly after, makes u have more pimples.
Pro: you relieve the pressure so it doesn't hurt as bad.

Con: You may get a scar or make the pimple worse.
