Do I have herpes or just a pimple?

Yesterday morning I woke up and on the bottom lip line, it was itchy. As the day progressed, it got more irratating. This morning i wake up and that part is swollen. It itches and hurts. I am not sexually active. But i heard that you can still get herpes from sharing drinks. Do I have herpes or just a pimple?
Pimples have ahead on them and will go away in a regular amount of time. Fever blisters are very painful and break and weep. The person you shared a drink with would have had a fever blister as well for you to get infected from that. If you have been feeling sick it can also cause a fever blister.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but yes, it sounds like you have a cold sore/fever blister ( which is a strain of herpes, though not necessarily the genital herpes strain)


You can get it by sharing drinks with someone who has herpes, or even touching something someone else has touched after they had just touched their sore.
