S it normal for a pus filled bump/pimple to form over a surgical incision?

I had a cyst removed about 7 weeks ago. The surgical incision has healed. This morning when I woke up, there was a pus filled bump/pimple over an area of the incision. Is this normal or part of the healing process?S it normal for a pus filled bump/pimple to form over a surgical incision?
No it is most certainly not normal. I have had 14 surgeries, and after one of my spinal surgeries I had that problem. It turned out to be a staph infection, I had to have 2 more surgeries and stay in the hospital for a week. So go to the dr. right away and get anti-biotics. You don't want to mess around with infections like that.S it normal for a pus filled bump/pimple to form over a surgical incision?
Definately not normal, get it checked as it may be a sign of problems under the scar.
no. you have an infection in the area. go talk to a doctor to get some anti-biotics.
You said that the incision is healed... if so, the area is simply normal skin, so it is certainly possible for a pimple to develop.

However if its in a particularly unusual spot, you don't normally get pimples, or if its unusually large, you might want to talk with a doctor or other medical professional.

Take care,

No, you have an infection. Fortunately if you take care of it now it might not be serious enough to see the doctor. Do this. Take a STERILE (rubbing alcohol works fine) needle or pin and poke the bump and get all the pus out of it. Then clean that up. After that CLEAN your incision site and cover it with a sterile dressing and some antibiotic ointment to help it heal.
I have a surgical incision and it has only been about a month and a half and i had one to pop up so it is normal, but i don't think it is a healing process. Dont freak out about it!!! It will go away.
